If the fiscal period you need has not yet been updated from your accounting data to StatBun, you can also add it manually. This may be necessary, for example, when budgeting or creating forecasts for multiple future fiscal periods.
You can create one or more fiscal periods in two ways.
Creating a new fiscal period while setting up a budget
1. Go to the Plan tab and click Budgeting.
2. Click + New Budget.
3. Start creating a new budget by giving it a name.
4. If the fiscal periods you need are not available in the Budgeting period dropdown menu, click the calendar icon.
5. Select the desired month and year from the calendar. Also, choose the number of months the fiscal period should cover from the selected start date onward.
6. Finalize the budget creation. If you are setting up a budget for the first time, check the guide on how to create a new budget (the guide opens in a new tab): Explore the budgeting license: Adding a new budget and basic use of the ready-made dashboard
7. StatBun will automatically generate one or more fiscal periods based on the selected date. The fiscal periods are saved automatically in your company's settings.
Creating a new fiscal period from company settings

2. Select Companies.
3. Open Company settings.
