Creating a widget with AI (by typing or by speaking)

If you want to add new widgets, in other words visual data blocks, to your view quickly and easily, this guide is for you. StatBun’s AI creates visual widgets in an instant based on the keywords you provide.

All you need to do is type or say what information you want the widget to display, and StatBun takes care of the rest.

How to add a widget with AI

1. Select the view where you want to add a new widget.

If you prefer to create a completely new view instead of using StatBun’s pre-built dashboards, go to the dashboards and select "New Dashboard".

2. Click the "Widget" button at the top of the view.

3. Choose whether to add the widget by typing or speaking.

4. Type or speak what figures you want to see in the widget and what type of graph you want to create for them.

Whether typing or speaking, make sure to include the following details:

• The metric to be measured
• The time period and timeframe
• The graph visualization style.

StatBun’s AI can visualize different figures and graphs based on your needs. You can create simple widgets that display a single number or select a full calendar year as the timeframe. More complex widgets are also easily generated with StatBun’s AI.

For example, you can ask the AI to combine data from two different account hierarchies into a single widget, create cumulative visualizations, or use a broken fiscal year as the timeframe.

Here are some keyword examples you can use to create widgets:

• Turnover 2024 monthly bar chart
• Turnover current fiscal year monthly as a line graph
• Fixed personnel costs current fiscal year as a table
• Variable and fixed costs current fiscal year as a table
• Cash and cash equivalents current fiscal year as a number

5. Once you have typed or spoken your keywords, press the Enter key.

6. Your widget is now ready! It will appear at the bottom of your view.
